Vintage Flair

kitchen dresser, vintage vanity

These two beauties were what got me hooked on old furniture.

The first was this old (1904) kitchen dresser with spoon carving ....and it was falling apart. I kept the top intact, waxing it to preserve the time worn patina, but painted and distressed the body in Country Chic  Vanilla Frosting.

It is part of my kitchen cabinetry.

The vintage vanity (1950's) still has the original round mirror and bakelite handles. It, too, got painted in Vanilla Frosting, slightly distressed, but this time coated in a durable polycrylic to protect it.

It belongs to a precious little grand-daughter!
